In healthy relationships, we always speak the truth, but we must speak the truth with love. Honesty is never an excuse for cruelty. Our words must be both true and tenderhearted. Even when we have to correct or point out unhealthy behaviors, we should do it with love. Our goal should be to promote healing; not harm.
