Hi, I'm Vi, I'm a qualified mechanic from Russia, I repair MINI and BMW engines. I want to be honest with you about what has been happening in my life recently. For years, my main job was working as a mechanic. I loved it. I enjoyed fixing things with my hands, solving problems, and spending long days in the garage. It wasn't just a job — it was a huge part of who I am. Over the past years, my health started changing. What began as occasional pain slowly turned into something much more serious. After many doctor visits, tests, and MRI scans, I was diagnosed with significant problems in my cervical spine, including spinal canal stenosis and spinal cord compression. Because of this, I had to stop working in the garage and avoid heavy physical activity while I continue treatment and consultations with specialists. Right now I spend most of my time at home, working from my computer and trying to rebuild my life around new limitations. Some days are good. Some days are difficult. But I am doing my best to stay positive and keep moving forward. Unfortunately, medical appointments, scans, medications, and specialist consultations are expensive. I don't have medical insurance, and the financial pressure has become overwhelming. At the same time, being unable to do my regular work has made things even harder. If you enjoy my streams, conversations, company, or simply want to support someone who is fighting through a difficult chapter of life, any tip means more than you can imagine. Every contribution helps me cover medical expenses, continue treatment, and stay focused on recovery instead of worrying about how I will pay the next bill. Medical & Recovery Update I wanted to share a short update with everyone who has been following my story and supporting me. At the end of September, I was finally hospitalized and underwent two surgeries during the same hospitalization. The first was cervical spine surgery at C6–C7. The damaged disc that was compressing my spinal cord was removed, the spinal cord was decompressed, and a cage was implanted to stabilize the level and allow the vertebrae to fuse. During the same hospitalization, surgeons also removed the right lobe of my thyroid because of papillary thyroid cancer. Thankfully, my lymph nodes did not need to be removed. So now the most frightening part — waiting for surgery while knowing that my spinal cord was being compressed — is finally behind me. But recovery has only just begun. I am still recovering from both operations. I have to be very careful with my neck and physical activity while the operated level heals and fuses. This also means that I still cannot return to my normal physical work as a mechanic, which used to be an important part of my income. Over the past months, medical appointments, tests, scans, medications and being unable to work normally have put me under significant financial pressure. Now, during recovery, my ability to earn is still limited while the everyday expenses and medical costs have not stopped. I don't like asking people for help, and I don't expect anyone to give more than they comfortably can.
